Why should you support this film?

Theatre of the Dead is unique in the way it has been developed through the Canberra Feature Film Coalition. It is at heart, a film being made by a community of the best filmmakers in the Australian Capital Territory.

Most of the members of cast and crew will be working on a deferred payment/sweat equity agreement to ensure that the upfront costs to produce the film are kept within the mirco-budget that has been set. However, not everything can come for free and therefore it is necessary to seek assistance to raise enough funds to ensure that a high standard of filmmaking is still maintained.

These are some of the benefits that financial support will contribute to:

• Help promoting a positive filmmaking environment within the ACT and regions.
• Injecting money into the Canberra economy.
• Creating opportunity for emerging and seasoned short filmmakers to make the step into a feature film and building necessary experience to maintain a successful career in the future.
• Showcasing the diverse and creative talents of established local professionals.
• Opening pathways for future feature film development and production to occur in the region
